This website is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of device, input method or disability. The implementation is designed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA in mind. It has not been independently certified.
Measures implemented
- Keyboard-operable navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator
- Skip links to the main content and navigation
- Semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive link text
- Labelled controls, live status messages for school search and native interactive elements
- A text alternative for the complex infographic
- Support for reduced motion, increased contrast and Windows forced-colours mode
- Responsive reflow for small screens and high zoom levels
- German, English, Turkish and an Easy German version
Known limitations
The original Petition.pdf and the 29-page background paper are PDF documents and may contain barriers depending on the PDF reader and assistive technology. The most important information is also available as HTML. An accessible German reading version of the petition form is provided; it does not replace the original form for signing.
The NDR video and the external newsletter service are third-party content. This website cannot fully control their accessibility.
