# Press release: Hamburg all-day schools and GTS

## No cuts at the expense of Hamburg's schoolchildren

At 87 Hamburg schools with pre-school classes through grade 4, the allocation for all-day provision is planned to change. Under the planned formula, teacher allocations and dedicated honorarium funding in their current form would be removed; the allocation is planned to be provided entirely in the educator profession.

According to the analysis used by the website, around 26,000 children are affected. The planned dates are 1 August 2027 for VSK and grades 1 and 2 and 1 August 2028 for grades 3 and 4.
